By creating an account or using MacroCheck, you agree to these Terms of Service and our
Privacy Policy. If you are using MacroCheck on an Apple device, you also agree to Apple's
Standard End User License Agreement, which governs your use of the iOS app. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
MacroCheck lets you scan grocery product barcodes and receive AI-powered feedback on whether a product fits your personal fitness goals based on nutritional data. It is a convenience tool — not a substitute for professional dietary or medical advice.
MacroCheck is not a medical application and does not provide medical advice. All recommendations are based on general nutritional data and your self-reported fitness goals. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet.
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use MacroCheck.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
MacroCheck requires an active subscription to scan products and receive AI verdicts. New users get a 14-day free trial during which all features are fully unlocked. You will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and your payment method will be charged for the plan you selected.
Plans:
- Monthly: $4.99 USD per month, billed every 1 month.
- Yearly: $39.99 USD per year, billed every 12 months (saves about 33% compared to monthly).
What's included: Unlimited barcode scans, unlimited AI verdicts, scan history, profile sync across devices, and access to any new premium features released during your subscription.
Prices are in U.S. dollars and may vary by region as set by the payment processor or platform. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
If you purchase a subscription through the MacroCheck iOS app, the following applies in addition to (and where there is conflict, in place of) the general subscription terms above:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price of the plan you selected.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your Apple ID Account Settings on your device after purchase.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
- iOS subscriptions are governed by Apple's standard subscription rules. Refunds and cancellations are handled by Apple — see the Refunds section below.
iOS purchases: All refund requests for iOS in-app purchases must be made through Apple. We cannot issue refunds for iOS purchases ourselves. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.
MacroCheck pulls nutritional data from third-party food databases and uses AI to analyze it. We make no guarantees about the completeness or accuracy of this data. Product formulations change — always check the label.
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the app
- Attempt to circumvent the scan limit or payment system
- Use the app for any illegal purpose
All content, design, and code in MacroCheck is owned by us. You may not reproduce or redistribute any part of the app without permission.
MacroCheck is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on nutritional recommendations.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We'll notify you of material changes via email.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of MacroCheck will first be addressed informally — please contact us at the email below and we will work in good faith to resolve the issue. If we cannot resolve it within 60 days, the dispute will be resolved through binding individual arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules, conducted in English.
You and MacroCheck waive the right to participate in a class action.You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing us with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out."
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for intellectual property infringement.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and (for iOS users) Apple's Standard EULA, constitute the entire agreement between you and MacroCheck regarding the app, and supersede any prior agreements.
For iOS users: you and MacroCheck acknowledge that these Terms are between you and MacroCheck (not Apple), and that Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with respect to your use of the iOS app and has the right (which it may accept or decline) to enforce these Terms against you. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
